Getting started with ANDY
What ANDY is, whether you can play it right now, and the four decisions that make up a character.
What ANDY is
ANDY is a turn-based player-versus-player RPG that runs inside Discord. You build a fighter from registered game content, bond an affinity that changes how your curses behave, and take that build into fights against other players — and eventually against the Seven Deadly Sins, seven Divine bosses whose Divine Laws rewrite the rules of the fight.
Everything on this site is read straight out of the game's own content registries. Nothing here is illustrative filler: if a page names 67 abilities, 47 artifacts and 25 classes, those are the exact entries the engine loads.
Can I play it right now?
The home page answers this from live deployment and invite configuration rather than from a fixed sentence. Check the banner at the top of the home page — it is generated from the project's current deployment validation and Discord invite settings, so it will not invite you to a server that is not running.
The four decisions that make a character
1. A class. There are 25 Human classes. Each carries its own mechanic and archetype, and some grant extra slot capacity.
2. An affinity. You may bond exactly one of 16 affinities. This is the most consequential choice you make, because it determines which curse you own, which rune fits you, and which ultimate you can use.
3. Your loadout. Abilities and artifacts fill your slots. A Human build has 12 ability slots and 6 artifact slots before class bonuses.
4. A curse and an ultimate. A build carries at most one curse and one ultimate. Both are tied to your affinity.
Where to go from here
Read Choosing a class if you want to understand the class list, or Affinities and builds if you want the single most important mechanic in the game. The Build Workshop lets you assemble a loadout against the real slot rules.
